Mary Of Hope

Another day of travelling, this time on a bus. I happened to see a photo of Mary (mother of Jesus), on the back of an overtaking private transport bus. She looked so calm, elegant and divine in the photo. Something you expect every women around you to be.

It made me think, she could have been like any other common lady during her time. But she was chosen for this great role (to bear the Messiah). God might have seen the fulfilment of the prophecies through her. When the angel told her that she was going to bear the child, she was not scared of the Jewish community that could stone her for having a baby without a husband. She had faith in God that he wouldn't let her down and gave herself for the will of God. Its because of this, she is now a Mother figure for the whole world.

She reminded me of a great truth,

"If you have faith in God and obey him, he will never let you down."
