The Spanish Conquer Euro2008

A lonely goal from Torres in the finals was enough for the Spanish to claim the Euro 2008 silverware. Spain was awesome all the way through the tournament. They played like they owned the field and eventually took control of all the games they played.

I am a big fan of this red team and the Spanish have always been one of the best teams in football. Luck however always seemed very cruel to them in major tournaments. But in 2008 they played like they had a purpose. They played as a team and in front of them, their oppenents looked like mere spectators. They dribbled and passed with such grace that the gods themselves would have favoured a Spanish victory. Congrats Spain, lets hope this is a start to a new era in football, The Spanish Era !!
